  • Update: NEON API token, Prototype datasets and the home page — NEON Data API 0.12.0 (October 2026) requires a token for prototype dataset files (/prototype/data/...); without one neon_get_prototype_dataset leaves the files out and neon_download_files(prototype_uuid=...) returns auth_required.
  • Update: Tool reference regenerated for the new prototype token wording.

  • Creation: Sync downloads to CyVerse — install GoCommands, log in with gocmd init, a one-way hourly gocmd sync script (no --delete, .DS_Store cleanup, lock and log), launchd and cron schedules, and what the sync does not carry (deletions, tags, MESA history); linked from Availability and data files.
  • Update: NEON API token — step-by-step token creation (account sign-up, My Account, GET API TOKEN, Copy, disabling or deleting a token); NEON_TOKEN as the variable to use, with NEON_MCP_NEON__API_TOKEN as an override and NEON_API_TOKEN no longer read; loading .env files; checking the token with neon-mcp --check (tokenAccepted) and what a rejected token does.
  • Update: Quickstart, Clients, Configuration and Testing — token naming aligned with the NEON API token page; live tests load the token from .env with uv run --env-file.
