  • Update: Install edi-mcp — rewritten for macOS, Linux and Windows after gbif-mcp's guide: uv prerequisites per platform, the new scripts/install.sh (registers the server with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Goose and OpenCode; --with-key stores the key without a key flag), manual registration with per-OS paths, stdio verification, troubleshooting, upgrades and removal.
  • Update: Clients — Gemini CLI and Goose entries, Claude Desktop paths for all three platforms, the Codex TOML table and the OpenCode 2.x layout.
  • Creation: Packages, metadata and entities — edi_get_package, edi_get_metadata and edi_list_entities (build step 5), now on main.
  • Update: Tool reference regenerated (8 tools); Discovery — DataONE date sorting by upload date and legacy identifiers replace the known-issue box; Roadmap, Quickstart, EDI API key, Architecture, MCP 2026-07-28 conformance and the home page updated for step 5.
  • Creation: Established the edi-mcp documentation bundle (OKF v0.2), ported from neon-mcp: root index, this log, the Zensical site configuration, the OKF validator, the llms.txt generator and the post-build agent surface (Markdown mirror, okf:* head metadata, robots.txt), deployed to GitHub Pages.
  • Creation: Getting started section: Install, Quickstart, EDI API key, Clients and Configuration (its settings table generated by scripts/gen_config_reference.py).
  • Creation: Tools section: the generated Tool reference (scripts/gen_tools_reference.py), Discovery, Package identifiers, Backends, Utilities and errors and the Roadmap of tools still to come.
  • Creation: MCP protocol, Deploy, Develop and About sections.
